The Development of an Integrated Information System for Forensic of Environmental Pollution Sources (1/4)

Absrtact
The objectives of this project are constructing auxiliary tools for environmental forensic, establishing means for intensifying accredited laboratories management in the field of water sampling and water quality testing, and planning the road map for following three-year project in the subject of environmental forensic and accredited laboratories management. Data collection, literature review, and tools development were carried out in the job of constructing auxiliary tools for environmental forensic. We developed various tools for the pollution source finding and testing results comparing in process of environmental forensic by connecting collected EAL’s and other department’s data with spatial analysis. In the job of intensifying accredited laboratories management, in order to promote the records of environmental sampling trips, we developed "Environmental Sample Information Collection System" and set up the process of water sampling and drinking water sampling based on electronic form. Sampling time, on-site calibration and testing data, coordinates of samples and photos were collect and transmitted to EAL. These data were used to find abnormal sampling time and testing results in sampling trips. In sum, the project plans to establish a blueprint for environmental pollution source identification and accredited laboratories management. We hope that in the future, identification of environmental pollution sources will gradually be oriented toward environmental physical characteristics, quality of environmental media, and the types and quantities of waste water and waste from pollution sources. And the way of accredited laboratories management will be improved through importing the sample life cycle management processes.
